TRANSPORT LEAK DETECTION DCE CERTIFIED ‘PASSIVE’ SYSTEMS

Designed specifically for propane, anhydrous ammonia and butane transports. DCE certified to comply with all US DOT and Canadian Transport Canada regulations for ‘Passive Shut Off’. These systems continually monitor the off-loading process looking for a rapid change in discharge pressure. These systems detect a separated hose or failed connection and close the tank internal valve within 1/2 second.

  • LDS Passive Systems incorporate a functional ‘Test’ button as a way to determine the units readiness

  • Model # LDS 60

    A fully automatic leak detection system for propane and anhydrous ammonia transports. This system has been designed & tested by design Certified Engineers to meet the compliance requirements of U.S. Hm225A and Canadian B620 regulations. The low powered control unit continually monitors piping and hose assemblies during the off-loading process. A failed pipe, or hose separation will cause the tank’s internal valve to close instantly and sound an audible back-up alarm. A simple “reset” button returns the unit to the monitoring state.
  • Model # LDS 100

    An automatic leak detection and shut down system designed by professional engineers specifically for LPG and Anhydrous Ammonia bulk transfer. Trailer mounted unit continually monitors the off-loading process for “rate of change” parameters signifying broken or damaged hoses, fittings and piping. A leak is instantly detected and stopped by the closure of the tank internal valve(s). The truck’s engine can also be stopped and PTO disengaged if desired. This system automatically activates at the end of each load. This ensures that the system is fully operational and helps reduce the possibility of a damaged cargo pump due to product run out. This unit also “fails safe” and closes the internal valve with a loss of power or the release of the trailer parking brakes.
  • Model # LDS 200AQRF

    Designed to comply with DOT requirements for transports with both ‘metered’ and ‘bulk’ discharge capability. Combines all of the features described above for the LDS100 but includes a handheld with remote control ‘Query’ and ‘Emergency Stop’ buttons. An audible alarm sounds every 4:30 seconds giving the operator 30 seconds to respond by pushing the ‘Query’ button. Failure to push the ‘Query’ button results in automatic activation of the passive shut-down system. Pushing the ‘Query’ button refills the timer to allow 5 more minutes of offloading. Additionally, the remote ‘E-Stop’ button gives the operator the ability to activate the passive shut down at any time during the offloading process.
